Don't Rent Your Car To Me

Dear Car Rental Companies,

You probably don't want to rent your cars to photographers. We will be mean to them. We will take them places they don't want to go. They will be driven into ugly industrial settings, dangerous urban alleys, and rural back-roads that even tow-truck drivers loathe and despise. We will turn off the paved road, to the gravel road, to the dirt path, just so we can find that one grassy spot behind a farm that we're looking for. And I promise you that we will stand on them if we need a better vantage point.

Occasionally an art director might climb up there too if he's looking for a certain angle

We will overload them with cases of gear, and weigh them down with sandbags and light stands we think we might need. And when we bring your car back, it will be covered in mud... inside and out.

When we returned the car after this off-road photoshoot, we wanted to leave the keys and run because we were sure they were going to make us clean it:
