Launch of Shuttle Endeavour
Woo Hoo! Despite a very overcast cloudy day, Space Shuttle Endeavour was cleared for liftoff. I was lucky enough to be on the roof of the Vehicle Assembly Building for this launch. Up until a few minutes before launch I was really thinking that the cloud cover was going to delay the liftoff. But luckily I was wrong!
It was a little hazy from my vantage point. We were all fighting the fact that this was an early morning launch and the sun was in a difficult spot for photos. But I still got some great photos and video. It was thrilling to be up there again.
The next day the press was allowed to photograph the crew of the next launch... I mean the FINAL launch!
That's the crew of Space Shuttle Atlantis, STS-135. You can see the Atlantis behind them, getting ready to enter the VAB for the very last time.
